From now on, thanks to the Denis Paramonov Charitable Foundation, the Kharkiv Regional Hospital can detect myocardial infarction around the clock. The medical institution has received modern equipment and the reagents for research.
Fluorescent immunoassay allows doctors to easily and accurately detect early biomarkers of myocardial infarction - Troponin - in the patient's blood. This enables identifying myocardial damage in the early stages and accurately assessing the risk of acute coronary syndrome.
Therefore, the new-generation equipment became the only one in the medical institution. Now doctors of the Kharkiv Regional Hospital can do research around the clock. Every day, according to doctors, up to 12 patients, hospitalized with suspected myocardial infarction, need to be tested in the department. The quick result will facilitate diagnosis and improve the quality of patient care.
The foundation not only donated the device itself worth UAH 200,000, but also helped with specific reagents capable of detecting the biomarker troponin. Using the other reagents, doctors will be able to do other studies on patients in the future.
"For the Fund, helping medical institutions is not just an opportunity to take care of the health of the region's residents. Thus, we also facilitate the working conditions of doctors", - the president of Paramonov Foundation Iryna Litkevych said.
